A secret kiss revisited
Sweeter now than before
There will be an ever after
Love’s hope finally restored

  1. Again your tremendous talent for writing and poetry shines through. I really love this, I think everyone has been there at some time or other in their lives. Bittersweet memories of love lost. I’m copying this into my ‘Beautiful Words’ journal. Thank you.

    • I always have to chop down the things I write. Believe it for not this was 12 lines initially. Much better trimmed down I think. I have a constant struggle against wordiness. Limiting myself to a few lines is an exercise in choosing words more wisely. A very good exercise. πŸ™‚

  2. Trimming is good. Always. Hack and hack.
You could actually only keep the last verse:
    “Love’s hope forever restored”… πŸ™‚ (Oh. I mean finally)
Tell me the truth Victoire, you do have a staff of five writers working for you full time right?
